Smith joins Rusty Scupper as sales manager
Emily Smith has joined the Rusty Scupper as its sales manager.
Smith will be responsible for leading all aspects related to the private functions at the restaurant. Daily responsibilities include the recruitment of new business; ensuring private events meet the clients’ needs and are exceptional dining experiences; and overseeing all administrative activities for each banquet function. Smith also will assure that the sales staff stays connected to the local community and is taking advantage of networking opportunities to build the restaurant’s brand and overall sales profitability levels.
Smith has more than eight years in the food service industry. For nearly seven years, she served as the sales and marketing assistant and senior reservationist for Morton’s Steakhouse where she conducted sales calls to corporate and event planners, local businesses and civic groups; managed the Preferred Guest Program; and created marketing collateral such as pamphlets and brochures.
A resident of Baltimore and graduate of Towson University, Smith most recently worked as a mortgage banker for American Bank/The Federal Savings Bank in Columbia.
