Barnhart named consultant of the year by BCSCD

Jared BarnhartJared L. Barnhart, project manager at Daft McCune Walker Inc., was named 2012 Consultant of the Year by the Baltimore County Soil Conservation District.

The BCSCD also named Daft McCune Walker its 2012 Consulting Firm of the Year.

Jared Barnhart is certified as a LEED AP Professional Engineer and has been with DMW since 2004. He manages the design and processing of grading, sediment and erosion control, storm water management, and road, storm drain, water and sewer projects for land development projects. He also directs design, production and processing of projects throughout the Baltimore City and Baltimore County development and zoning process and is an expert in the areas of satisfying technical requirements associated with these disciplines.

Barnhart received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Kansas State University in civil engineering and is currently president of Engineers Without Borders, Chesapeake Professional Chapter.

Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Towson, with offices in Frederick and Berlin, DMW is a land development consulting firm that provides land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, land surveying and environmental services to public and private-sector clients throughout Maryland and the region. The firm’s projects include institutional, commercial and multifamily residential projects as well as commercial shopping centers and corporate office parks.

Current projects for DMW include Mondawmin Mall for General Growth Properties, Town Square at Turf Valley, Hunt Valley Towne Center, Johns Hopkins University Lacrosse, Palisades of Towson, Renaissance Square and Glen Meadows Retirement Community.
