Karin Lakin, assisted living co-chairwoman with the LifeSpan Network, has been appointed to the Maryland Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Commission.
Lakin owns and operates a community in Charles County specializing in Alzheimer’s care. She owns two medical adult day care centers and operates several assisted living communities throughout the state.
Gov. Martin O’Malley established the commission last year with a mission to increase public awareness about the disease and related disorders.
