Steve LashSteve Lash(@Steve_Lash)

Steve Lash covers the Maryland Court of Appeals and the General Assembly’s judiciary committees for The Daily Record.

He joined the newspaper in 2008 after spending nearly 20 years covering the U.S. Supreme Court and legal affairs for several publications, including the Houston Chronicle, Cox Newspapers, Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, and West’s Legal News.

He was a contributing author to “A Good Quarrel: America’s Top Legal Reporters Share Stories from Inside the Supreme Court,” published in 2009 by The University of Michigan Press.

Lash, a graduate of American University’s Washington College of Law, is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court and Maryland bars.

Kristi Tousignant is the business of law reporter for The Daily Record.

She joined the newspaper in 2012 after stints at The Gazette in Montgomery County and the Republican-American in Waterbury, Conn. She also worked for a weekly German newspaper in Berlin while studying abroad  in college.

Tousignant is a graduate of the University of Maryland and a Terp for life.  She has lived in every region of the United States, but has decided there is nowhere like the Maryland- Washington, D.C., region.

Danny Jacobs is the trial courts reporter at The Daily Record, covering Baltimore City, Montgomery County and U.S. District. He was previously web editor and before that covered Baltimore County courts, the University of Baltimore and University of Maryland law schools and the Maryland State Bar Association.

A University of Maryland graduate, Danny enjoys blogging about dumb criminals, unusual lawsuits and the lighter side of the law. He particularly enjoys when pop culture and the legal world collide.
