The Daily Record publishes more than 40 special publications each year, everything from Maryland’s Top 100 Women to Leadership in Law as well as in-depth examinations of health care, education and other industries that power the state’s economy. The Daily Record also partners with a wide a range organizations throughout the year on publications that highlight economic development, the law, workforce initiatives and other topics. Doing Business in Maryland An annual publication focusing on how to do business in Maryland. Topics range from the current business climate to business incubators to small and minority-owned businesses. A multitude of industries are covered, including aerospace, bioscience and health care, as well as individual county snapshots.

Minority Business Enterprise Guide The 2011 Minority Business Enterprise guide for doing business with the state of Maryland, produced in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs, is a comprehensive, step-by-step resource for minority- and women-owned businesses.

Nonprofit Guide There are thousands of nonprofit organizations in the state of Maryland. Deciding where to contribute money or volunteer time can be confusing. The Daily Record Nonprofit Guide offers a comprehensive listing of all state nonprofits, with a description and contact information.

Small Business Solutions The Daily Record has partnered with the Maryland Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to publish a new magazine for small businesses — one which will provide strategies, resources and advice for Maryland small businesses to grow and compete in today’s economy.

20 in Their Twenties New in 2011, 20 in Their Twenties features Maryland’s up-and–comers who are successful by or before the age of 30. Selected by The Daily Record staff, honorees are chosen on the basis of professional accomplishment, civic involvement and impact of achievement. The program celebrates the best and brightest under 30 who may have not earned their first million but whose creativity and spirit are already contributing to a new energy in Maryland.

Be What I Want To Be Be What I Want To Be is a magazine designed to help Maryland high school students understand the choices they have when it comes to their education and careers. The magazine is distributed to 90,000 highschool students by the Maryland Business Roundtable.

Giving Back Guide The Daily Record presents its special guide to nonprofits in Maryland and includes insights into fundraising, managing charitable contributions and the search for more than “time, talent and treasure.” The publication also includes an advertising section.

Influential Marylanders Just who are Maryland’s heavy hitters? Who has contributed the most to our impressive growth? In this annual publication, The Daily Record selects and honors those who have made truly significant impacts in their fields and who continue to be leaders in Maryland’s ongoing progress.

Innovator of the Year Innovators have the courage to make a change and the stamina to await the results. The Daily Record initiated the Innovator of the Year program to seek out and recognize Maryland organizations and individuals who have demonstrated the spirit of innovation by creating products, services or programs that benefit their businesses, industries or communities. These individuals have fit the pieces of the puzzle together and spelled success.

Leadership in Law The Daily Record honors 24 legal professionals for their contributions bettering the practice of law and the communities in which they live and work.  Leadership in Law was created to draw attention to the many Maryland legal professionals — lawyers and judges — whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities deserves particular recognition.

Leading Women In this inaugural issue, The Daily Record honors women under the age of 40 whose expertise, influence, accomplishments and skills place them in Maryland’s legal and business vanguard at the dawning of a new decade.

Maryland Legal Aid Centennial Celebration The Daily Record is proud to present Maryland Legal Aid’s Centennial Celebration (1911-2011) program guide.

Be What I Want to Be 2011, produced in partnership with the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education, offers help for high school students making important education and career choices.

Independent Schools Guide This publication serves as a comprehensive listing of all primary and  secondary schools in the state. Editorial on after school and weekend  activities for school-age children is also featured.

Summer Camp Guide The Daily Record provides information to help parents make decisions regarding which summer camps to attend in this comprehensive publication about summer fun and activity for the kids.

Where the Jobs Are In this inaugural issue, The Daily Record offers insights and analysis on what it takes to forge a new career path. This publication also examines online vs. brick-and-mortar continuing education options as well as certificate options for career changers and professionals looking to broaden their skill set.

Book of Lobbyists Annually The Daily Record publishes The Book of Lobbyists. This piece contains the alphabetical listing of all the registered lobbyists in Maryland. Health Care 2011The Daily Record takes a look at how Maryland and local companies are handling the federal health care overhaul. The special publication also provides a survey of the “destination treatments” and specialty centers offered at hospitals across central Maryland.
