Wal-Mart Shuts E-Commerce Site, Says Better Customer Service Needed

<TAB>After relaunching its Internet shopping site in January, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has closed its virtual doors again to correct what local industry watchers say is a long string of problems, including poor online search capabilities.<@SM><@SM><TAB>The mammoth retailer <b><a href="http://www.walmart.com" target="_blank">shut down the site</a></b> until late October or early November while it integrates a new technology program as part of a long-term effort to improve customer service on the Web, said Wal-Mart spokesman Les Copland.
