View Systems Inc., of Baltimore, unveiled Wednesday the Mini Sim Cam, which the company described as a wireless watchdog device that checks for intrusion into uninhabited areas, like foreclosed houses, storage spaces and vacation homes.
The battery-powered portable device senses motion and sends text messages to a user’s cell phone. One configuration sends a photo of an intruder to the user.
The device retails for $299.99 and can be purchased online at www.minisimcam.com. View Systems manufactures and markets digital and wireless surveillance products and access control devices.
