SALISBURY — Maryland’s Republican Party says a shot was fired at its office in Salisbury, shattering the glass front door.
Salisbury police discovered the vandalism early Wednesday at the office on Route 13, and state party officials say staff found a bullet in the office. Police say nothing was taken from the building and no other businesses in the complex were targeted by vandalism.
The office is one of the party’s seven regional offices that serve as volunteer hubs.
Police have not established a motive in the shooting, but Party Chairwoman Audrey Scott calls the incident very troubling.
