Murphy says no events scheduled with Palin yet

ANNAPOLIS — Republican Brian Murphy says he doesn’t have any campaign events scheduled in Maryland yet with former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who endorsed him in the Maryland GOP primary for governor.

Palin is scheduled to be in Washington on Saturday for a rally with conservative Fox News Channel personality Glenn Beck. Murphy said Friday he isn’t planning to attend the rally, because he says he needs to focus on campaigning in Maryland.

Murphy says he has yet to personally speak with Palin, but he says his campaign manager talks with staff at SarahPAC, Palin’s political action committee. Palin endorsed Murphy earlier this month on her Facebook page instead of former Gov. Robert Ehrlich, who is seeking a rematch with Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley.
