Md. House GOP members pledge to seek tax cuts

ANNAPOLIS — Republican members of the Maryland House of Delegates are pledging to seek tax cuts and reduce state spending.

House Republican Leader Anthony O’Donnell gathered Thursday with incumbent GOP House members and Republican candidates to sign a “Prosperity Pledge for Maryland.”

O’Donnell says the event was coincidentally scheduled on the same day that House Republicans in Congress promised to end Democratic policies in Washington.

Republican Delegate Christopher Shank, who defeated longtime incumbent Donald Munson in the Republican primary last week in a widely watched state Senate race, says Maryland has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.
