U2 to play in Baltimore next year

Rock band U2 is adding a Baltimore stop to its “360” tour next year.

The band announced Monday that it will play at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on June 22, 2011. The Maryland concert is being added as the band adds tacks on shows in Australia, New Zealand, Mexico City and South Africa.

Concert promoter Live Nation says 4 million people will have seen the show by the time it returns to North America.

Tickets for the Baltimore concert go on sale Monday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. They are priced from $30 to $250.

U2 last played in the area in September 2009 at FedEx Field.
