ANNAPOLIS — The Maryland Energy Administration is encouraging state residents to take advantage of the Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program, which ends Nov. 12.
The administration reminded residents on Thursday that the program provides rebates to replace outdated appliances with ENERGY STAR-rated equivalents.
The program has used American Recovery and Reinvestment Act money to provide rebates for more than 14,000 clothes washers, 3,500 refrigerators and nearly 3,000 central air conditioners and air source heat pumps.
Program details as well as rebate forms are available at http://energy.maryland.gov.
