Baker to discuss arrest of predecessor Jack Johnson

UPPER MARLBORO — Prince George’s County Executive-elect Rushern Baker is preparing to discuss his predecessor’s arrest.

Baker is joining county officials for a news conference on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Prince George’s County Public Schools administration building in Upper Marlboro.

Baker has not commented yet on Jack Johnson, who was arrested Friday in an investigation related to allegations that some developers were bribing public officials. His spokesman, Scott Peterson, said Saturday that Baker was focused on his agenda to improve education, the economy and “deliver a more effective, efficient and ethical government.”
