Robert C. Peithman recently joined PNC Bank as a senior vice president and market trust director in PNC Wealth Management for the Greater Maryland market. He is the senior advisor on complex accounts. Peithman, who has 25 years of wealth management experience, was formerly the director of trust at Carolina First Bank. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Lieutenant Colonel Retired in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Robert W. Scrafford has been named a Rising Star by Living Classrooms Foundation for his professional and personal achievements, including his leadership in the Support Our Troops program. The program collects and ships useful items to soldiers overseas on behalf of the Society of American Military Engineers. Scrafford is an environmental scientist and engineer in the Baltimore office of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. He manages projects and assists with environmental assessments and hazardous-waste site investigations. Scrafford holds a master’s degree in environmental sciences and policy from Johns Hopkins University. Living Classrooms Foundation is a Baltimore-Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit educational organization that strives to inspire young people to achieve their potential through hands-on education and job training, using urban, natural, and maritime resources.
Phoebe Stein Davis, executive director of the Maryland Humanities Council, in Baltimore, recently completed an eight-month leadership development program sponsored by Leadership Maryland.

Richard C. Bittner was recently reappointed by Gov. Martin O’Malley to the Maryland Board of Physicians for a four-year term. Bittner, who maintains a general law trial practice in Glen Burnie, was first appointed to the board in 2007 after serving 17 years on the Anne Arundel County Liquor Board, the last 12 as chairman. He is a graduated of the University of Baltimore County and the University of Baltimore School of Law.
