Maryland man pleads guilty in Delaware child porn case

WILMINGTON, Del. — A Maryland man faces at least 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty in a Delaware child pornography case.

Forty-two-year-old Mark Allen Heil, of Bel Air pleaded guilty Thursday to attempted enticement of a minor and possession of child pornography.

Heil will be sentenced June 1. He faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life for the attempted enticement conviction. He also faces up to 10 years for possessing child pornography.

Heil was arrested last year after using an Internet chat room devoted to sexual activity with young boys to contact an undercover detective posing as a father offering his nine-year-old son for sex with adult males.

Authorities said Heil used the screen name “predatormike1203.”
