Karen Harris, senior manager in the Baltimore office of the Reznick Group, has been elected to the board of directors for Maryland New Directions, a nonprofit that provides career counseling and job training skills for single mothers and women trying to re-enter the workplace. As a senior audit manager with the public accounting firm Harris provides audit, accounting and tax services to real estate developers, owners and operators of multi-family properties, and commercial real estate properties. In addition, she has experience with not-for-profit accounting.

MGH, an integrated marketing communications agency in Baltimore, has added eight employees to its staff, and promoted four others. The additions are: Account executive Rachel Cox, who previously worked at Renegade Productions. She has a degree from Towson University. Digital media assistant Laura Evans previously worked at Mentzer Media. Traffic coordinator Lauren Gallagher, who will work on a variety of agency accounts, is a recent graduate of Towson University. Digital production director Kevin Murphy, another Towson University graduate, previously worked at Carton Donofrio Partners. Senior copywriter Leanne Petti has worked in advertising at several agencies across the country, most recently Crosby Marketing. She is a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park. Web developer Chris Rivers, a Stevenson University graduate, previously worked at Travel Advantage Network. Media buyer/planner Chris Rumbley, a Towson University graduate, previously worked at SNS Marketing. Account manager Meredith Wells previously worked at gkv. Recently promoted were: Digital media planner Amy Basta, who had been an associate digital media planner. SVP/account services director Ed Repasky, who had been vice president/associate account services director, will oversee several key accounts and manage the agency’s account services department. SVP/associate creative director Dave Wassell, who had been vice president/associate creative director, will be responsible for daily creative supervision of interactive work. Traffic manager Amara Waters had been traffic coordinator.

MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, based in Lutherville, has promoted Katy E. Hayes to marketing manager and Trish B. Gottesman to research and communications manager. Hayes, who has more than a decade of experience in the Baltimore metropolitan real estate market, will oversee the marketing of MacKenzie and its six affiliates. Gottesman will lead electronic marketing initiatives and public relations. She is a licensed agent and has a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland, University College.
