On the Move, 4/14: cardiologist Morris hired by Mercy Medical

Dr. Frank H. Morris

Dr. Frank H. Morris has joined the Heart Center at Mercy Medical Center, in Baltimore. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. Dr. Morris received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Maryland Hospital and his fellowship in cardiology at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore. He previously was in private practice at MidAtlantic Cardiovascular Associates in Towson.


Montgomery County Police Officer Michael J. Phillips received the Germantown District Commander’s Recognition Award and Commander’s Coin on April 6 for his dedication and service. Phillips is a member of the Germantown Special Assignment Team and of the Decentralized SWAT team. In addition to his regular police duties, the former Navy officer teaches a two-hour tactical block for all department sergeants and team leaders.


Matt Martin has been appointed to the market leadership team of PNC as retail market manager for Greater Maryland. He will oversee the daily management and operations of the bank’s regional branch retail network. Before this promotion, Martin served as PNC regional manager in Baltimore. He began his career with PNC in 2000.


ADG Creative, of Columbia, has added five staff members: brand strategist Ken Joy, a graduate of the Maryland Institute of Art, has supervised creative teams on creative and strategic projects; copywriter Matt McDermott, who has 10 years of advertising experience, sits on the board of the American Advertising Federation’s Baltimore chapter. He has degrees in English and mass communications from Towson University and a master’s in teaching from Johns Hopkins University; project manager Anjeanette Agro, who has nearly 20 years of industry experience in the public and private sector, has a degree in fine arts in graphic design; graphic designer Kathryn Gruver has a bachelor’s degree in studio art from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a master certificate in graphic, Web, and multimedia design from the Computer Career Institute at Johns Hopkins University; developer Robert North, who has a background in software engineering and development, design, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance, is studying information technology and art at University of Maryland University College.


Derek J. Mostoller was recently named a senior associate at Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Mostoller is a structural engineer who is based in the firm’s Baltimore office. As a member of Gannett Fleming’s structural practice leadership team, he manages and designs highway structures, as well as vertical structures, including maintenance facilities, toll facilities, and wastewater facilities. Mostoller also performs structural inspections, calculates load ratings, reviews shop drawings, and prepares reports and repair and rehabilitation plans.
