Schaefer funeral, Baltimore tour plans finalized

ANNAPOLIS — William Donald Schaefer will take one last tour of Baltimore next week.

The former Mayor of Baltimore and Maryland governor, who died Monday, will be shuttled in a motorcade from his boyhood home in West Baltimore to another dozen Baltimore landmarks before lying in repose at Baltimore’s City Hall Monday night and Tuesday, a spokesman for Gov. Martin O’Malley said Thursday.

The Schaefer motorcade plans to stop at the Lexington Market, the Washington Monument, Camden Yards and the statue of Schaefer in the Inner Harbor, as it winds its way downtown Monday afternoon.

Schaefer is scheduled to lie in repose in Annapolis Monday until 2 p.m. His funeral is set for Wednesday at the Old St. Paul’s Church followed by burial at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.
