Gov. Martin O’Malley announced the appointment Thursday of Ted Dallas as Maryland’s Secretary of Human Resources. Dallas has been serving as interim secretary of the department since January.
In March, O’Malley named him as deputy chief of staff.
O’Malley also announced two senior staff appointments, naming Catherine Motz as deputy chief of staff to replace Dallas, and Raquel Guillory as communications director.
Motz, an attorney, was the governor’s deputy legal counsel for the past four years.
Guillory has been the attorney general’s communications director since 2007 and also was press secretary to O’Malley when he was mayor of Baltimore.
