The Pride of Baltimore II will be setting sail on a five-month voyage to ports along the East Coast, Great Lakes and in Canada.
During the voyage, the ship will promote Maryland’s contributions to the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner during the 1814 Battle of Baltimore at Fort McHenry.
The replica Baltimore clipper ship will visit more than 25 ports this summer.
The Pride leaves Sunday, but there’s a send-off party planned for Thursday at noon. Attendees will get look at a new Bicentennial of the War of 1812/Star-Spangled 200 dockside exhibit that the ship will display during its stops.
