Bill Greenfield has returned to Hyatt Commercial, of Annapolis, as senior vice president and manager of sales and leasing. Greenfield had been with the real estate firm for 19 years before spending a year and a half with Coldwell Banker Commercial. He will also serve as an agent and real estate consultant while building a team of agents. Hyatt Commercial is a subsidiary of Severn Bancorp.

Architecture

Ayers Saint Gross, of Baltimore, recently promoted three staff members to associate principal. Karla Aghajanian is a planner and project manager with expertise in land use and development, and historic preservation. Her work has won awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects and the American Planning Association. Dennis Lynch has experience in all phases of architecture, but recently has focused on LEED-certified academic buildings and student housing at several universities. Jamie Barnett leads the graphic design studio at Ayers Saint Gross, guiding the development of two- and three-dimensional graphic solutions for institutional, cultural and commercial clients.

Banking

Bay Bank, of Lutherville, has added four executives to its staff. Greg Olinde has been appointed senior vice president and Eastern Shore regional manager, based in downtown Salisbury. He has 17 years of experience as a banker in the Salisbury area. Olinde also is executive officer of the Greater Salisbury Committee, trustee of the Richard A. Henson Foundation, and a member of the Advisory Council of the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Salisbury University. Michael Avendt has been appointed vice president/relationship manager for the Lutherville office. He previously worked at M&T Bank in Baltimore, where he spent the past six years as a relationship manager in the Middle Market group. Staci Bondura has been appointed vice president/private banker for Bay Bank in the Lutherville office after spending 24 years at M&T Bank, most recently in the private banking office in Towson. Michael Tomaszewski has been appointed vice president/senior compliance officer. He previously oversaw compliance and internal audit functions for Harford Bank in Aberdeen. Tomaszewski is a University of Maryland graduate and a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and a Certified Internal Auditor.

Clergy

Robert Gerber will join Har Sinai Congregation, of Owings Mills, as cantor on July 1.Since his graduation from the Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion School of Sacred Music in 1983, Gerber had served as the first full-time cantor of Congregation Beth Israel in Houston. He also trained and directed the Beth Israel B’nai Mitzvah program, taught in its religious school and directed the junior choir. Gerber has a doctorate in sacred music.

Education

Seema D. Iyer has been named associate director and research assistant professor for the Jacob France Institute in the University of Baltimore‘s Merrick School of Business. Iyer previously was chief of research and strategic planning for the Baltimore City Department of Planning. She holds a Ph.D. in urban and regional planning and has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and a faculty lecturer at Morgan State University. The Jacob France Institute provides statistical, economic, workforce and neighborhood-based information and research covering the interaction of business, worker and government investment decisions. It also serves as home to the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance.
