BOSTON — Former Boston mob boss Whitey Bulger has arrived at federal court in his hometown.
Several black SUVs with a police motorcycle escort paused briefly in front of U.S. District Court in Boston on Friday before proceeding to a rear entrance, where occupants in some of the SUVs exited out of view.
Bulger was arrested in California on Wednesday after 16 years on the run. He’s wanted for alleged crimes including 19 murders.
He and his longtime girlfriend, Catherine Greig, are expected to make their initial appearances in court at about 4 p.m.
