Imbrium’s Jellyfish Filter approved by Montgomery Co.

Imbrium Systems, a Canadian stormwater treatment company whose U.S. headquarters is in Rockville, said its Jellyfish Filter has been approved by the Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services to treat polluted stormwater runoff heading for the Chesapeake Bay.

The Jellyfish is an innovative membrane filtration system that captures fine sediment particles and nutrients, such as phosphorus and nitrogen, that cause harm to underwater animals and aquatic grasses.

According to the company, Jellyfish Filter systems have been installed in areas of California, Oregon, Washington state, Colorado, Montana, New Jersey, New York and Virginia, as well as in Canada.
