Baltimore bicyclist in coma after Feb. crash dies

A bicyclist who was in a coma for months after being struck by an 83-year-old driver has died.

Twenty-year-old Nathan Krasnopoler died Wednesday morning, his family said in a statement. Funeral services are scheduled Friday in Pikesville for the Johns Hopkins student and Ellicott City resident.

The driver in the February crash was later cited for negligent driving and failure to yield right-of-way. Police have said Krasnopoler was hit as the driver tried to make a right turn.
