Lee’s remnants prompt Md. flooding concerns

HAGERSTOWN — The remnants of Tropical Storm Lee are beginning to affect Maryland travelers and businesses.

The Maryland Transit Administration says MARC Brunswick Line trains Tuesday afternoon may run 10 to 20 minutes late as trains operate at reduced speeds due to flash flood warnings in the region.

Allegany County officials have advised car dealerships along Wills Creek near Cumberland that minor flooding is expected there Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service predicts major flooding Wednesday night through Friday morning along the Potomac River at Paw Paw, W.Va.

Moderate flooding is expected along the Conococheague Creek at Fairview Wednesday night.

The weather service predicts minor flooding Thursday along the Potomac River at Hancock.
