Baltimore mayoral primary candidates work to get out vote

Mayoral candidates are working to get out the vote ahead of this week’s primary.

Observers say Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake appears to have a definitive lead in the Democratic primary, but her challengers say they have a chance to oust her on Tuesday if they get enough supporters to turn out.

Rawlings-Blake and challenger Otis Rolley both campaigned at Lexington Market on Monday. State Sen. Catherine Pugh plans a rally Monday evening.

Candidate Jody Landers says he is concerned that media coverage that gives the idea that the race is already determined will only discourage voters. He says the only poll that matters is one in the voting booth.

Republicans Vicki Ann Harding and Alfred V. Griffin III are competing for the chance to challenge the Democratic primary winner.

  1. After watching the debate online, I would say that Mr. Jody Landers gets my vote. Tonight I plan to check out all of their websites a little more to read up on the issues they support. Just a heads up…just google \MPT Debate\ to watch the debate online. That was the only televised debate.
