O’Malley to attend meeting on crime fighting

PALMER PARK — Maryland officials will be attending a monthly meeting on crime-fighting efforts in Prince George’s County.

Gov. Martin O’Malley and Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker are scheduled to attend the meeting in Palmer Park at the county’s police department headquarters on Thursday.

They will be meeting with county law enforcement officials to discuss results from a warrant initiative.

The warrant initiative was funded by a federal grant through the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention. It’s part of intensified crime-fighting efforts in the county.
