The Mary Catherine Bunting Center at Mercy Medical Center, in Baltimore, recently received the Presidential Citation for Urban Design from the Washington, D.C., chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The AECOM (Architecture, Engineering, Consulting, Operations and Management) design team accepted the award at a ceremony at the hospital’s new center, to which clinical services will be relocated over the next decade.
Monyka Berrocosa, president and chief connections officer of MyCity4Her.com, has been named to the board of trustees of Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore, a nonprofit committed to building strong, women-owned business. Berrocosa has provided personal and corporate branding, marketing, public relations, promotional and business development expertise to clients in the U.S., Canada, and Europe since 1998. In 2007 she founded MyCity4Her.com, a Baltimore-based media company that provides connections, visibility, information and inspiration to women business owners.
Debra J. Hale, a senior staff accountant for Stoy, Malone & Co., a Baltimore-based regional accounting and business consulting firm, recently was named professional development chair of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants New/Young Professionals Network. She is a graduate of Shippensburg University.
Mary M. Keirn, a manager for Stoy, Malone & Co., a Baltimore-based regional accounting and business consulting firm, has been appointed to the planned giving advisory council of St. Joseph Medical Center and the board of directors of Progress Unlimited.
Manekin LLC has hired Susan A. Homberg as vice president and Brendon Behan as assistant vice president in its brokerage division. Homberg will work in the firm’s Baltimore office, focusing on tenant and landlord representation in the Mid-Atlantic area’s retail and office markets. She most recently was vice president, real estate services for JPB Enterprises; before that, she spent five years as a leasing specialist for Jones Lang LaSalle. Behan will work in the firm’s Columbia headquarters, focusing on landlord and tenant representation and lease advisory services in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor office-flex market. He had served since 1998 as an assistant vice president at McShea & Co. Behan also worked as a property manager for Transwestern Commercial Real Estate Services before moving to sales and leasing. He is a graduate of Salisbury University-Perdue School of Business and a member of the board of Course for the Cause.
