On the Move, 10/25: Schintz appointed as executive by Renegade Communications

Joe Schintz

Joe Schintz has been appointed chief return on investment officer by Renegade Communications, a marketing communications company in Hunt Valley. Schintz will be responsible for processes to ensure brand and financial return on investments for Renegade Communications and its clients. His duties include those of a conventional chief financial officer and beyond. Schintz has served in senior management roles in large corporations and privately held businesses, including C&S, FDI and Atlantic Management. He is also president of Business Solutions 360, a consulting company that serves owners of privately held businesses.

Sharon Paul, leader of Gross Mendelsohn & Associates’ technology solutions group, was elected to the Edward A. Myerberg Senior Center board of directors. The center is a multipurpose senior center providing programs and support services for older adults in Northwest Baltimore. Paul has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer information systems from Stevenson University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Microsoft Certified Professional. Gross Mendelsohn is a full-service CPA and consulting firm, in Baltimore.


Stephen Tossey of Century Engineering, headquartered in Hunt Valley, has earned the Building Energy Modeling Professional certification from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. The certification program attests to ability to evaluate, choose, use, calibrate and interpret the results of energy modeling software when applied to building and systems energy performance and economics. Century Engineering provides engineering, surveying and construction inspection services to government agencies and industries.

Marjorie Cota has joined Mind Over Machines, of Owings Mills, as vice president of market development. Cota most recently served as vice president of business development for Community Analytics, a social network-focused research company, and as director of sales and marketing for the Mergis Group, a national recruiting firm. She serves on the membership committee for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
