ROCKVILLE — A jury has been selected in the trial of a woman charged with killing a co-worker at a yoga clothing shop in a Washington suburb.
Jury selection concluded Wednesday morning. Opening statements in the case of Brittany Norwood are expected to begin before noon. Norwood is charged with fatally bludgeoning co-worker Jayna Murray on March 11 inside Bethesda’s Lululemon Athletica store.
The two women worked together at the store. Prosecutors say Norwood killed Murray and then told police they had been attacked by two men.
On Tuesday, Montgomery County Circuit Judge Robert Greenberg restricted prosecutors’ use of graphic photographs during opening statements. One showed Murray’s crushed skull. The judge said other pictures were permissible.
