Constellation to buy Oklahoma gas company

Constellation Energy Group of Baltimore, which is in the process of being sold to Chicago-based Exelon Corp., announced that it has agreed to purchase Oneok Energy Marketing Co. of Tulsa, Okla., a retail natural gas marketing company with 26,100 customers.

The acquisition will cost $22.5 million plus working capital, and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2012, the company said.

Earlier this year, Constellation acquired MXenergy, a Connecticut-based supplier of natural gas and electricity with a half million customers in the U.S. and Canada, and StarTex Power, a Houston retail electric provider with approximately 170,000 customers.
