Gary Almeter has joined the Baltimore office of DLA Piper as an attorney in the litigation practice.
Almeter’s practice centers on the defense of complex product liability, toxic tort and personal injury litigation in state and federal courts.
He has served as lead attorney for pro bono cases in state and federal courts in conjunction with Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service.
Almeter previously was an attorney in the Baltimore office of Venable. Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk to Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Stuart R. Berger.
Almeter received the Public Service Award for his work in starting the Baltimore Freedom Academy charter school while at the University of Maryland School of Law.
