Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake says one of her deputy mayors is stepping down to take a position with Mercy Health Services.
Rawlings-Blake announced Friday that Deputy Mayor of Public Safety and Operations Christopher Thomaskutty will be leaving April 2. The mayor says Thomaskutty will be taking a position as vice president for corporate affairs and chief of staff for Mercy Health Services.
The mayor thanked Thomaskutty for his nine years of public service and said a search for a replacement is under way. Thomaskutty’s responsibilities included police, fire and emergency management, trash and recycling collection, water and sewer service and snow removal.
