Shattuck, Wilen join Baltimore School for the Arts board

Molly Shattuck and Jack Wilen have been added to the 2012-2013 Board of Overseers at the Baltimore School for the Arts.

Shattuck, a long-time BSA supporter, is returning to the board after a year in an advisory capacity. Shattuck is the founder of the Vibrant Living Philosophy, which helps people create and maintain a healthy and vibrant lifestyle. She also serves as a part-time cheerleading coach for the Baltimore Ravens. Shattuck serves on the National Advisory Board for The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the National Children’s Museum.

Additionally, Shattuck helped found and leads Families Living United, a United Way initiative that creates opportunities for parents and children to volunteer together. In recognition of her commitment to advocate a healthy lifestyle, Shattuck was appointed Healthy Food Ambassador by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and the United Way of Central Maryland for the Access to Healthy Food Initiative.

Jack Wilen has been a financial advisor since 1976 and is currently senior vice president–investments at Raymond James in Timonium. Raymond James is a diversified financial services holding company with subsidiaries engaged primarily in investment and financial planning, in addition to investment banking and asset management. The company has been recognized as a national leader in support of the arts. Wilen is also a trustee of the Jack Wilen Foundation. The main focus of the Wilen Foundation’s giving is educational programs in Baltimore City. Wilen is an active advocate for the school in the Baltimore community.
