Plenty of money changed hands in Annapolis this legislative session, as top lobbyists earned more than $21 million from Nov. 1 to April 30.
Much of that lobbying money was spent by — you guessed it — companies with ties to gambling.
Here’s a few non-gambling headlines around the state:
- MarylandReporter.com reports that a Howard County senator is beginning a campaign to become county executive.
- The Washington Post reports that the chairman of the Montgomery County delegation is stepping down.
- The Frederick News-Post reports that a Frederick County lawmaker is still pushing for a casino in Frederick.
