Ellsworth joins United Seniors of Maryland Education Foundation

Karen Ellsworth, of Carney, Kelehan, Bresler, Bennett and Scherr LLP, a general-practice law firm headquartered in Columbia, has joined the board of the United Seniors of Maryland Education Foundation. The foundation promotes the well-being of Maryland seniors through education, dissemination of information about state legislation, and demonstration projects.

As an attorney with CarneyKelehan, Ellsworth represents clients in corporate matters, including formation of corporations and limited liability companies, transfer of interests in business entities and general business representation. She also handles matters in commercial real estate financing, federal and state tax law and estate administration.

Ellsworth is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, D.C. Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Howard County Bar Association.

She earned her Master of Laws degree in taxation from the University of Baltimore School of Law, her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law and her MBA and bachelor’s degrees at Lake Superior State University.
