Lindsay Thomas has joined Visit Baltimore as associate director of convention services. Thomas will assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the convention services and events team. She will manage Visit Baltimore-sponsored meetings, customer events, trade shows, familiarization tours and membership events; lead weekly convention services meetings; and provide convention services for citywide convention groups as applicable.
Thomas is a graduate of Towson University and brings more than 12 years of event planning and fundraising experience to Visit Baltimore, having most recently served as the senior operations manager for GEP Baltimore since 2008. Earlier in her career Thomas led special events for Believe in Tomorrow National Children’s Foundation and served in various event planner and development roles for Ripken Baseball and the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation.
Olivia Puglisi has joined Visit Baltimore as senior convention services. Puglisi will be responsible for assisting clients in the successful production of their Baltimore meeting by serving as the key contact for all meeting promotion and organization. She will assist clients in implementing their events from the planning stages to the meeting’s completion including management of the welcome program, attendance-building promotions, pre-show promotional efforts and site visit coordination.
Puglisi is a graduate of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University and brings more than seven years of hotel sales and service experience to her role at Visit Baltimore, most recently serving as the catering and convention services manager for the Hyatt Regency Crystal City where she was honored in December 2012 with the Rockstar award. Earlier in her career, Puglisi served as a meeting concierge at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, before being promoted to convention services manager.
