Immel joins Health Facilities Association of Md.

Tracy Immel has joined the Health Facilities Association of Maryland as senior public policy coordinator, replacing Neal Karkhanis.

Immel holds a masters degree from George Mason University in health and medical policy, where she received the Graduate Award for Excellence in Health Policy research.

She is also a graduate of George Washington University and recently completed an internship with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C., where she served in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation.

As the new senior public policy coordinator, Immel is responsible for analyzing data on long?term care reimbursement at the state and federal levels as well as assessing current and proposed state and federal policy. She will also support the development of presentations and briefings for meetings with government officials and members aimed at advancing HFAM’s priority issues and agenda.
