Fulwood joins Volunteers of America Chesapeake

Tonya Fulwood has joined Volunteers of America Chesapeake in the newly-created position of vice president of homeless services.

Fulwood will be in charge of overseeing more than 4,000 individuals served within the organization’s 12 homeless service programs devoted to homeless prevention. Homeless services is the largest human-services segment that Volunteers of America Chesapeake assists in Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C.

Prior to joining Volunteers of America Chesapeake, Fulwood was the division manager of residential services at the National Center for Children and Families.

Fulwood is originally from Washington, D.C. and now resides in Upper Marlboro with her two daughters. A graduate of University of the District of Columbia in 1996, she received her master’s degree in social work in 1997.
