Fashion’s Night Out is set to be celebrated internationally on Thursday but don’t overlook the local scene.
Beginning at 6 p.m. at Towson Town Center, a two-hour bonanza of style will erupt throughout the multi-level mall featuring makeup demonstrations, fashion shows and giveaways including a swag bag and a chance to win a $500 gift card for stores in the mall. Shoppers who spend a minimum of $75 will receive a free nail polish set.
“This year, Baltimore was rated the 3rd worst dressed city in the country,” said a sassy promo of the event by the mall’s reps, Weinberg Harris & Associates of Hampden, citing a June 2012 Travel + Leisure poll. “As one of the region’s premier shopping destinations, Towson Town Center feels something must be done.”
FNO is in its fourth year making merry over all things fashion. Started as a way to help rebuild confidence in retailing and fashion in general, the event is sponsored in the U.S. by American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designbers of America and NYC & Co.
Last year, more than 4,500 FNO events took place nationwide. Internationally, 18 countries also participated.
