Greenfield, Kress form new Annapolis law firm

Veteran government relations attorneys Aaron Greenfield and William Kress have formed Greenfield & Kress, a full-service boutique government relations firm based in Annapolis. Greenfield & Kress will serve clients at the local, state and federal levels of government in various industries including health care, energy, gaming, real estate, telecommunications, insurance and transportation.

Greenfield has been special counsel and a lobbyist with Duane Morris since 2009. Prior to that, Greenfield served as chief of staff to Howard County Executive Ken Ulman. Greenfield’s government experience also extends to President & CEO of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation and serving as special city solicitor for policy and development under then-Mayor Martin O’Malley.

“I am excited to be taking my practice to the next level and especially proud to join my friend Bill Kress as we work hard to represent our clients,” said Greenfield.

Kress has over a dozen years of experience lobbying in Annapolis and successfully operated his own law firm for five years. Prior to that, Kress served as counsel with Semmes Bowen and Semmes where his practice focused on government affairs, litigation and regulatory matters. Kress has successfully represented clients on the state, local and municipal level on matters involving healthcare, automobile manufacturing, property and casualty insurance, gaming, healthcare, energy, environment, manufacturing, non-profits and the budget.
