DiPietro joins Maryland Patient Safety Center

Bonnie DiPietroBonnie DiPietro has been named director of operations for the Maryland Patient Safety Center, the state’s official center for patient safety issues and education. DiPietro will help move the center’s goals forward by working with healthcare organizations throughout the state to educate them regarding best practices for patient safety.

DiPietro joins MPSC after a five-year stint as the director of Acute Care Nursing at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Anne Arundel County. She brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience, holding clinical, educational, management and administrative positions throughout the Baltimore-Washington metro area.

DiPietro holds both a master’s degree in Nursing Administration and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland. She is active in many local and national professional organizations, including The American Organization of Nurse Executives, Maryland Organization of Nurse Executives’ Board of Directors, The Maryland Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing. She lives in Brandywine with her husband of 32 years. She has three grown children and two grandchildren.
