A 21-year-old man has been charged with 134 counts of animal cruelty after numerous creatures, including a kinkajou and a chinchilla, were removed from his Pasadena home.
The Capital of Annapolis, citing court documents, reports that Shane Taylor was served a criminal warrant on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, police and animal control officers searched Taylor’s home and found aquatic species, snakes, dogs, turtles, birds, chickens and geese, a goat and a pig. A kinkajou, a rainforest animal that resembles a ferret, was also removed.
Officials say many of the animals were without food or drinking water.
A dead rabbit and several dead quail were also found.
