About 91,000 without power in mid-Atlantic

WASHINGTON — More than two-thirds of those who lost power in Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia during superstorm Sandy have had their power restored.

By noon on Wednesday, about 91,600 customers were still in the dark across the region. That’s down from 375,000 on Tuesday.

Baltimore Gas and Electric was reporting the most outages with nearly 67,000 customers without power. Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Harford counties have the most outages. BGE says it has restored serve to 77 percent of its customers who lost power.

On the Eastern Shore, Delmarva Power was reporting 8,300 outages in Maryland and Delaware.

In the Washington area, Pepco is reporting about 1,000 outages, down from 21,000 on Tuesday.

In northern Virginia, Dominion Virginia Power is reporting 15,300 outages, down from 110,000 on Tuesday.
