Marianne E. Ortiz, senior account manager at Profiles Inc., has been named one of the 2012 “15 to Watch” by PR News, the only public relations executive from the Baltimore area to receive this distinction.
PR News’ annual “15 to Watch” competition honors budding PR leaders and creative practitioners, age 30 and under, from around the world. Honorees include communications professionals from corporations, PR firms, nonprofits/associations, educational institutions, government organizations and industry suppliers.
As senior account manager for Profiles, Ortiz is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans for clients – including message development, media relations, social media and special events planning. At Profiles, she has worked on behalf of clients such as Central Maryland Transportation Alliance, Chazz: A Bronx Original, CohnReznick, Graul’s Markets, Media Works, Shoshana S. Cardin School, “Show Your Soft Side,” The Baltimore Station, University of Baltimore and Wagonheim Law. Additionally, she supports the firm’s new business program.
A resident of Canton, Ortiz is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and minored in women’s studies. She is a member of the marketing committee for Boys Hope Girls Hope Baltimore and also participates in various philanthropic activities throughout the area.
