Lockheed Martin Corp., of Bethesda, the world’s largest defense contractor, said it has acquired Chandler/May Inc., of Huntsville, Ala.
Chandler/May specializes in the design, development, integration, manufacturing, and support of fully integrated systems for unmanned aerial systems and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C4ISR) missions.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, and the acquisition is not material to Lockheed Martin’s results of operations, the company said.
Chandler/May will become part of Lockheed Martin’s Mission Systems & Sensors (MS2) business segment. Washington, D.C.-based MS2 has experience in unmanned systems, including the K-MAX unmanned helicopter, Desert Hawk UAV, and Persistent Threat Detection System aerostats.
