Aronson to chair JHU Board of Trustees

Jeffrey H. Aronson

Jeffrey H. Aronson, an investment manager and alumnus of the Johns Hopkins University, has been elected as the 16th chair of the university’s Board of Trustees, starting July 1.

Aronson graduated with honors from Hopkins in 1980, and has been a member of the board of trustees since 2006.

He will succeed Pamela P. Flaherty, who was the first woman and first graduate of the university’s Nitze School of Advanced International Studies to hold the post.

Aronson co-founded and is managing principal of Centerbridge Partners L.P., a New York and London-based private investment firm that manages $20 billion in capital.
