Discovery Education, a unit of Silver Spring-based Discovery Communications Inc. that provides K-12 digital textbooks in the United States, announced the expansion of its digital textbook series to include mathematics, adding to the Techbook line which includes K-12 cience and middle school social studies offerings.
The company said its first Math Techbooks will launch in 2014 and will address middle and high school mathematics subjects with six specific courses: 6th, 7th and 8th grade math, and Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry for high school.
The company said the expansion of the Techbook line was in response to input from educators across the country.
