Bloomberg LP, a global financial news and business information company, is hosting an economic summit in Washington on April 30, and the only two current lawmakers to speak at the meeting are both from Maryland.
Sen. Ben Cardin and Rep. Chris Van Hollen, both Democrats, are among dozens of key government officials, CEOs and economists to address the high-powered, all-day gathering.
Cardin will participate in a panel discussion on “Rethinking the Business Model: Public Debt and the Private Sector,” while Van Hollen, the senior Democrat on the House Budget Committee, will be a panelist in a discussion on “The State of Deficits and Debt.”
