Applefeld to head Adelberg Rudow’s Litigation Section

David ApplefeldDavid B. Applefeld, a member of Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC has been appointed chairman of its litigation section. Applefeld is already chairman of the practice development committee.

Throughout his 22-year career, Applefeld has litigated construction defect claims, insurance coverage claims, architectural and engineering professional negligence claims and business disputes in all levels of state and federal courts, before administrative agencies and before the American Arbitration Association.

A frequent speaker and author on insurance law, construction law and litigation topics, he also serves as national panel trial counsel and special litigation counsel for several insurance companies and businesses.

In addition to serving a second term as a co-chair of the Construction Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee, Applefeld is a member of the Association’s Tort and Insurance Practice Section (Product, General Liability and Construction Law Committee) and Forum on the Construction Industry.

He also is active in the Maryland State Bar Association, Bar Association of Baltimore City, Baltimore County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Maryland Defense Counsel, Inc., Home Builders Association of Maryland and the American Subcontractors Association of Baltimore, Inc.

Applefeld earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. He resides in Phoenix, with his wife and two children.
